Oli update

love getting to know Olivia's personality. She is so happy, so quick to smile. When I am frustrated or tired, I look at her and she just lights up, it make me smile too. She has started eating solid food, and seriously can't get enough. She uh uhs at me if I don't feed her as fast as I can. She is sitting really well and is just starting to roll over. She is 6 months. She was recently sick and was such a good trooper.
I added 2 pics of Chloe. She helped me make Ashton's B-day cake. She got a icing mustache as a reward. Sorry I know the photo is a little blurry. The other one is Chloe after Ashton's party,(so tired).

5 years old and still kickin'

The much anticipated event of Ashton's birthday came and went this past weekend.  He has been asking for months now if it is his birthday.  The festivities started with a party at Mcdonald's the day before.  A few of his friends met up with him for lunch and cake.  Heidi made a spiderman cake (toy is from a previous visit to Mcdonald's) and his friends brought some gifts.  Ashton had a great time.  The next morning (on his actual birthday), he got up and opened his presents.  We bought him He-man gifts (which were difficult to find).  He loved his light saber (which I have already been on the wrong end of) and buzz light year swimming outfits he got from his grandparents.  He knows now that he is 5 that kindegarden is right around the corner.  We really enjoy Ashton and it has been fun watching him grow.

chloe's bedroom

So I am so slow at putting my house together. Ashton's room is done and I have been working on Chloe's room. I needed some current photos of her so we did a little photo shoot. Needless to say it consisted of me following her around while she played. I thought I would share the photos. She has become such a beautiful big girl. It all seems to have happened so fast.

Birthday grinch

Birthday saga part 1;I almost always have the hardest time coming up with something for Kevin's birthday. I might add that if you know Kevin he absolutely loathes birthday parties for himself, especially surprise ones. Every year he plays detective and tries to ruin his birthday presents. This year I got him good. I planned for us to stay at a water park hotel out in Idaho. I had to come up with some excuse to drive there though. I tried asking him if we could meet some friends for dinner, but he said no deal. As a last ditch effort before busting out the blind fold, I called the girls at his work and had them make up a phony excuse to come out to the office in Idaho. Kevin automatically got suspicious.  He called me, furious and told me I better come clean, that the office called and he knew I was throwing a surprise party ( which made him soooo angry, because I know he hates birthday parties). I have never seen Kevin so angry and so worked up before. I laughed so hard, but never said anything. If he had jump to a wrong conclusion and gotten so worked up, thats his own fault.  Half  way there, I asked him if he would like to know the surprise. He rolled his eyes and said , "Fine".  When I finally broke the news he was so relieved and happy. We had an awesome time with the kids at the water park. Some of our friends got the room next to us and we were even able to play some games that night.

Birthday saga part 2; We got home from the water park hotel today. We all took naps and picked up around the house. We open presents, and would you believe  I forgot to take pictures with my camera for the last 2 days. Bummer. Then Kevin and I got a babysitter and went to dinner. After we came home and I had planned for our friends to get together at the church and play Volleyball. So we played until 10.
It has been a crazy past few days and I think Kevin is glad that he has tomorrow off to catch up.
I am so thankful for Kevin he is so much fun and such an amazing Dad. I hope he had the best birthday ever.

Photo Shoot

We took the opportunity of Sunday Morning to take an updated family photo.  I used the timer on my camera. It is so hard to get the kids to even face in the general direction of the camera to capture their faces.  Also hard to run and jump in the photo and not look super awkward. Here our our results.

I love Chloe's weird smile and Oli's dopey ears, aren't her cheeks so kissable?
