Me: (busy looking for something)

Chloe: No one wants to be around you when your crying....... Are you crying? (whole time she is nudging me with her elbow)

The gospel according to Ashton and Chloe

After church on Sundays, I ask my kids what they learned.  The answer is almost always the same... we had treats and played.  I know that they are taught lessons, they just are not as interested in that part.  This Sunday was a little different.  When I asked them what they learned, Ashton said he learned that it is ok to eat animals.  I asked why it was ok and he said because Jesus made them for us to eat them.  I asked who told him that and he said Jesus did.  Almost as soon as Ashton was done with his sentence, Chloe piped in and told me that Jesus told her that she needs to eat treats.  Since then, I have overheard Chloe bossing Ashton in the name of Jesus.  Jesus told me to tell you to get me a drink.  Jesus told me to tell you to get me a treat.  That Chloe is a real sly one.  

Easter Saturday

                                                                 I have tried to teach my children a little about Easter this year.  I told them there is an Easter Saturday and an Easter Sunday.  Easter Saturday was for egg hunts, candy, and friends.  Easter Sunday was to learn about Jesus.  They didn't seem all that excited about Easter Sunday, but they love Easter Saturday.  We had 3 other families over for a bbq and an egg hunt.  It was a lot of fun and the kids did great.

We took some family photos before church on Easter.  It is very challenging to have our three kiddos sit still for pictures.  Sorry for the blurry ones, it is the best we can do at the moment.

what the hail, thats a big fish

Really this is a double post. We have had the craziest weather lately. It hailed big ice chunks the other day. It was bizarre, so loud and actually painful. Ashton and I ran out in it and He came back with a souvenir, I think I came back with a few new bruises.
