Sommmmmer Saaaullllllt in the Air

I (as well as many of you) was surprised to see that trampolene was an event in the olympics. Ashton was a little bit leary to reveal his trampolene trick in fear of the Chinese stealing his routine. That being said (and with Ashton's permission), here is the grand unveiling of Ashton's trampolene trick (coming to a summer olympics near you).

DJ has new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Buddies"

When DJ (my brother) was young, he had a friend named Chad. Chad would call and ask for his "teenage mutant ninja buddy". Of course DJ was constantly teased for this. Flashforward to now...Heidi was at a garage sale today and came across this halloween outfit. Ashton loves it! He has been putting it off and on all day. Heidi caught Ashton and Chloe showing off their moves.

She Has A Name

We were very careful in planning out our first two children. We got pregnant the month we wanted to, we had names chosen, and we had an overall plan for after the birth on how to adjust. It isn't that way this time. Half the time I forget we are having a baby soon. I tried to talk Heidi into getting pregnant earlier so it would be fully covered under our insurance in Florida. On top of that, the last six months have been the busiest and craziest months of our marriage. We would try to choose names and nothing seemed real. Well (with 3 weeks to go), we have finally picked a name. Her name will be Olivia Beth Fairhurst, we will call her "Olli". We got Beth from Heidi's sister's middle name. We are getting very excited for Olli to join us. We still have no idea how we are going to cope with having 3 children and no family near by. Heidi's mom will be here for awhile to help out, maybe we will figure out how to adjust during that time. Anyone wanting to come stay and watch our kids for us are welcome.

Vanishing Act

This morning I painted all three of the kids' rooms and the living room. During this Chloe came to show me something. She had a crystal light container and powder all over her mouth, hands, and shirt. My eyes must have lit up because Chloe quickly said "Dont spank me". I asked her if she got it on the couch, she said no. So I ran up stairs and there was a little drop on the couch. I sprayed it with a cleaner and then noticed a larger drop on the carpet. When I sprayed that area, a really large area of red appeared. I didn't realize that she had dumped a whole package of crystal lite into the carpet. I quickly soaked the area with every cleaner we had on hand. I tried to scrub it out but it was not coming up. I then called Heidi and told her to buy a carpet cleaner. She did and we tried that. The carpet cleaner was helpful but the carpet was still very much red. Heidi then called our friend, Kim, who has a brother who was a carpet cleaner. Kim told us to first rinse out any cleaners we had used before. We used our upright carpet cleaner with only water in it to do that. After that she told us to mix 1 part ammonium to 3 parts water. Take the mixture and soak the area that needs to be cleaned. Then place a towel over it and iron it. Press directly on the towel with a lot of force until you hear sizzling. The heat brings the dye up into the towel. I did that for a few hours and it came up. The picture above on the left is the after picture.

Sleeping Beauty and the Zombie

On our way to Walmart, Chloe started dosing off. We try not to let he sleep in the car because she will not take a good nap when we get home. Usually we have Ashton tickle her or call her by name to keep her awake. This time we just filmed it. After filming her head nodding back and forth, Ashton decided he wanted a little attention. You have to watch the whole video for Ashton's transformation into a zombie.

Friends from Florida

As most of you know we have opened our home to Family and Friends, we didn't realize everyone would come the same weekend J/K. We were lucky to have a party house this weekend. Our kids have just loved having some familiar faces and friends. We hope everyone will come again or just come for the first time.

Chloe has always been very interested in what I'm doing, just recently she has really been asking to help cook and set the table. I am so thankful for her happy, helpful personality. I know she will be a wonderful Big sister.

Tram"pool"line

For those who do not know, we are renting a house in Spokane valley. We love the house, it is large with a fun yard. It came with a pool table, hot tub, and a large heated swimming pool. The landlord told us the swimming pool was off limits because it required several repairs. Today we bought a trampoline and I assembled it inside the swimming pool. There is a built on deck so it works out well. Our kids have had a lot of fun with it today and hopefully it will intice them to be outside more often. (Come visit our trampoline anytime Bostyn)
